Is tooth whitening safe?

How white will my teeth go?

Home whitening lightens teeth gradually, allowing you to be in control of the final shade. Teeth whitening maintains the texture and translucency of your teeth so your results will always look natural no matter how much you lighten them.

If you want to get the best and most dramatic results ask about our 'B1 guarantee' package. This allows us to guarantee your final shade, meaning you can be sure you will get the bright smile that you want.

Is tooth whitening suitable for me?

Most people can benefit from tooth whitening - it will lighten all teeth and can remove the majority of stains, even those caused by a tooth's nerve dying.

Fillings, crowns and dentures will not change colour with tooth whitening and may need to be replaced after treatment.

Your dentist will be able to advise you if you are a good candidate for tooth whitening. Consultations for whitening are free of charge for existing patients.

How does teeth whitening work?

Home whitening involves placing a gel into thin, tight fitting trays and wearing these for a few hours, or overnight.

Whitening gels contain either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide as the active ingredient. This soaks into the enamel of the teeth and breaks up any stains. The teeth are gradually lightened, treatment is usually around two weeks.

How long do the results last?

Most people need to use top-up treatments for a few days, every few months, but this may be more or less depending on your diet and other lifestyle factors. Dark foods and drinks, as well as smoking will have an impact on the shade of your teeth.

How do I book?
