Updated 4th January 2020 following the Prime Minister's announcement of nationwide lockdown. We have received guidance from the Chief Dental Officer that we should remain open and that patients are entitled to travel for medical appointments, including dental.
We are pleased to be open and to be able to offer you the dental services that you need and deserve. In such an unusual time, we have had to make some changes in the way that we work to keep you and our staff safe. These changes are detailed here. We will implement any changes advised to us by our regulators and professional bodies, so keep checking back for updates.
When you arrive, our front door will be locked. Please call our reception desk on 0113 2668459 to confirm your arrival. Please do not arrive too early for your appointment, and wait in your car if possible. We are limiting the use of our waiting room and you may be asked to wait outside.
Once you are welcomed in by our receptionist, you will be asked to sanitise your hands. Please wear a mask or face covering whilst you are in the practice but not in our surgeries. You will be directed straight into the surgery rather than being asked to wait in the waiting room. For now, our toilets are not to be used.
Our dentists and dental nurses will be wearing enhanced PPE to ensure your safety. This will be especially noticable during some treatments for which we have to wear a special mask and gown. We are still smiling underneath it all!
Our capacity is still limited due to our need to maintain social distancing and requirements to leave a room empty for a period of time after treatments. This means we have to prioritise those patients with pain or other problems. There may be a longer wait than normal for follow up appointments.
If you have any questions about attending the practice and how these changes may affect you don't hesitate to get in touch. We can conduct remote consultations by phone or video call if you feel this is more appropriate for you.
