Update: 19th July 2021
Despite easing of government restrictions, we still want to ensure that we do everything we can to protect our patients and staff. Strict infection control and PPE guidelines are still in place from our governing bodies. This means your visit to the dentist will still be a little different for now. Please read below to see what to expect form your visit to Chelwood Dental Care.
Our front door is now open. You will still be sent a text before your appointment with a link to check in. When you arrive, click this link and we will know that you are here - this will help reduce queues at reception. Please do not arrive too early for your appointment. Our waiting room is open but if you feel more comfortable, you can wait outside or in your car.
Please sanitise your hands when you enter the practice - gel is provided at reception. Please continue wear a mask or face covering (unless you are exempt) whilst you are in the practice - you may remove this in our surgeries. This is in line with Public Health England guidance on use of face coverings in health care environments.
Our dentists and dental nurses will continue to wear enhanced PPE to ensure your safety. This will be especially noticable during some treatments for which we have to wear a special mask and gown. We are still smiling underneath it all!
Our capacity is still limited due to requirements to leave a room empty for a period of time after treatments. This means we have to prioritise those patients with pain or other problems. There may be a much longer wait than normal for follow up appointments.
If you have any questions about attending the practice and how these changes may affect you don't hesitate to get in touch. We can discuss any issues you have by phone if you feel this is more appropriate for you.
